Off Track Event Retail precinct

  • 9:00 am On Saturday 1 April 2023
Until 4:00 pm On Sunday 2 April 2023

Need a break from the racing? Why not indulge in a spot of retail therapy!

Our retail precinct will have a fantastic artisanal, fete-style vibe. We’ve worked hard to partner with a fantastic range of local vendors and those from further afield here in New Zealand.

You’ll discover a treasure trove of delightful vintage fashion, old-school food and beverages like the award-winning Robbie’s Pickles and homewares. We'll even be hosting a special display of original, authentic McLaren Racing merchandise (though, sadly for the fans, these items are not for sale!).

Frequently asked questions

The carnival-like atmosphere of the George Begg Festival extends to our retail precinct, where we will be showcasing a selection of hand-picked vendors showcasing wares ranging from vintage clothes, hats, gourmet produce, and more.

We've partnered with a wide variety of retailers, to bring a fete-like atmosphere to life. From gourmet products perfect for your charcuterie board, to handmade hats that hark back to an era gone by, you're bound to find something you love within our retail precinct.

We are still confirming our vendor list, but we will be announcing the complete list of retailers closer to the time. Keep your eyes peeled and watch this space.

Some vendors may have EFTPOS, however not everybody will. To be on the safe side, please come to the retail precinct armed with a mixture of cash and card payment options at the ready!

Our retail precinct will be located along the fence-line near our food and beverage zone, Begg's Bar, and the Driver's Lounge.

Keen to be a stall holder? We'd love to hear from you!

If you want to be part of this fantastic, family-friendly, carnival-like event, let's chat.

We're expecting a big crowd of whānau, party-goers, and motorsport competitors and enthusiasts: so our guests will have a diverse range of interests. We'd love to showcase some talented local vendors to visitors from far and wide.

We are looking for stall holders from Friday 31 March through to Sunday 2 April. (Though if you can only commit to Saturday and Sunday, we're happy to discuss this.)

Our site will be open from 8am through to 5pm each day: so our retail precinct will be open to the public roughly between 10am to 4pm.

We're very open and flexible as far as vendors go: our vibe is very much, "the more the merrier"!
